Hen Night #1 - 8th December 2012

Recently engaged and never one to turn down a night out, I set myself the challenge of finding the perfect “Hen Do”With this in mind, I got a group of the girls together, booked our minibus and got tickets to The Adonis Cabaret Show in London. After traffic from hell on the M40, we arrived at “Club Aquarium” Old Street. We were met at the door by a fabulous Drag Queen, who ushered us in to the foyer and to where 3 very “Beautiful” men greeted us.So armed with my free drinks vouchers, we headed down to the belly of the club.

The night began with the redeeming of the drinks vouchers, a choice of 2 cheeky cocktails (Sex on the Beach or Blue Lagoon), both very tasty and a food buffet that catered for every whim. All this went down very well with the ladies. Being an intimate venue, there were very little places to hide and being fully aware that at least one of us may get dragged on to the stage we firmly planted ourselves as inconspicuously as possible in the middle of 2 other Hen groups. In the vague hope we would be over looked!! What followed was a fairly well choreographed routine from the lads, dressed as firemen. To say both men were fabulous (not that any of us were focused of their dance moves) would be an understatement; these are most definitely not run-of-the-mill guys you find on the street.

The show continued, hosted by “Drew Christie”, a hilarious Drag Queen from Chelmsford, with a few naughty jokes, songs and drag-banter. Then more men!! One of our ladies wasn't expecting full frontal nudity (The rest of us were well aware!) and the look on her face was an absolute picture! I won’t give away too much but the show its self was amazing. Audience participation is a big part of the show, and there is NO escaping! You think if you sit in the middle and keep a low profile you will be spared, WRONG. Go in with an open mind, be up for a laugh and you won’t be disappointed.

Buying Adonis Cabaret Show Tickets gives you automatic entry to club their show is held in Club Aquarium, this means you even get entry to their famous “Car Wash” club night. This is a 1970’s themed night, which encourages dressing up. This does mean whatever your chosen dressing up theme you won’t stand out like a sore thumb. Hen Groups adopted themes ranging from Angels and Burlesque Dancers to Smurfs!

Our group was of mixed ages, The youngest being 18 and going up to 56, and we all enjoyed ourselves! It was a great night, everyone had a really good time, and I’d recommend other Hens to pay a visit to the Show. If not for just giggles, then to admire men at their best! Holly
